Wilbert’s Racing Division is a family owned and operated race team based out of Webster, NY and sponsored by the family automotive recycling business. We currently field two purpose-built Chevrolet Cobalts competing at local asphalt tracks in the 4 cylinder divisions. Wilbert’s has a long standing history of being involved in local short track racing dating back to the 1950s. This tradition continues to this day and became a motivating factor in our commitment to develop a race team. In the fall of 2018, the decision was made to field two cars in an effort to revive a legend created over 60 years ago by our grandfather Arthur Wilbert.

The A-1 (Arthur) Golden Bomb makes its official return to the race track and will be flanked by its twin the P-1 (Peter) Golden Bomb. Both cars are rolling tributes to men who left a lifelong impression on anyone fortunate enough to cross their paths in life. They were responsible for founding, forming, and shaping the reasons our family stands proud today. With some very big shoes to fill we hope everyone can get a chance to come help and cheer on the new Golden Bombs. Just as the sign said that forever hung near the wall of our grandfather’s office… “Lead, Follow, or get the hell out of our way!”

Wilbert’s U-Pull It also sponsors Jacob Gustafson of JFG Motorsports. With the help of his dad, Greg, Jacob races 4-cylinders mainly with the Midwest Compact Touring series and in the Western New York area. He also races in the New York Super Stocks series with Tom Brisner’s superstock. This father-son team puts in the work on and off the track repairing and modifying their own racecars. We’re proud of all of the racing milestones Jacob has reached at only 20 years old and we look forward to being his go-to resource for parts in the future.
