The Automotive Recyclers Association announced that professional automotive recycler Eric Wilbert of Wilbert\u2019s U-Pull-It, LLC in Williamson, New York has been nominated to join the Association Executive Committee as Secretary for 2021-2022. \u201cComing from a family with predecessors that have been very active with many associations, I am incredibly honored to be nominated as the incoming secretary for ARA in 2021,\u201d said Wilbert. \u201cAs my presidency for the Automotive Recyclers Association of New York winds down, I am excited to continue my focus on working for the industry that has supported my family and employees for nearly 70 years.\u201d<\/p>

Wilbert\u2019s, Inc. was started as a one-man collision shop founded in 1952 by the late Arthur Wilbert. The family and company have been members of ARA since 1976 and now operates five locations in New York. Eric is a third-generation professional automotive recycler that began his career with Wilbert\u2019s at the original full-service location in Webster, New York. \u201cAs we began expansion, I capitalized on an opportunity to manage our first self-service location in Williamson. Since that time, we have opened an additional two self-service locations in New York. I focus nearly all of my energy on our family\u2019s self-service operations and am excited to bring this knowledge to the family of automotive recyclers I will be serving.\u201d<\/p>

Wilbert will be formally confirmed by the ARA Board of Directors and Membership during the ARA\u2019s 78th Annual Convention and Exposition taking place November 10-13 in Dallas, Texas. \u201cEric Wilbert\u2019s drive for quality and improvement makes him the perfect person to join the leadership at ARA. I am so excited to bring him into the fold,\u201d said Jonathan Morrow, chairman of ARA\u2019s Nominating Committee.<\/p>

\u201cI look forward to working with Eric in his new role on the ARA Executive Committee,\u201d added ARA Executive Director, Sandy Blalock. \u201cAs a dedicated industry advocate, he will be a fine addition to ARA\u2019s Executive Committee.\u201d<\/p>

Wilbert\u2019s U-Pull It is proud to support and be an active member of our state and national associations. This will be a great opportunity to continue to educate our staff and management.
