In the months of November and December, all Wilbert’s locations held food and change drives. Both employees and customers got involved and brought in non-perishable items to our stores that were then donated to local food pantries. During this time, Wilbert’s also collected all of the loose change found in processed vehicles; the funds were donated to the Ontario Food Pantry, Pirate Toy Fund, Bath Catholic Charities Steuben, and Toys for Tots.

You can help, too! The Ontario Food Pantry has community donation sites throughout Wayne county, incluing in the Town Hall and Public Library and has a full list of needed items accessible at https://ontarionychamber.org/community/ontario-food-pantry-2/. The Pirate Toy Fund, an organization that supplies new toys to over 70 agencies that bring aid to thousands of children in need throughout the Greater Rochester region, has collection boxes at every Wegman’s store in Monroe County. Bath Catholic Charities Steuben’s distribution center is open for food donations as well and Toys for Tots has dozens of toy collection bins scattered around Monroe County, which can be found here: https://rochester-ny.toysfortots.org/local-coordinator-sites/lco-sites/donate-toys.aspx.

Wilbert’s wants to ensure that everyone has a happy holiday season and our employees and customers play a big part in making that possible.
