The Scott Spino Foundation, created in honor of beloved teacher and coach, Mr. Spino, benefits children in our local community by way of education, coaching, and mentoring. Scott’s parents, the founders of the organization, have established a literacy program for elementary school children as well as multiple initiatives to collect clothing and shoes for kids that are without, among other projects. Since the foundation was established in 2004, over $600,000 has been given back to the community. We at Wilbert’s are humbled to have the opportunity to play a small part in the amazing work this charity does by participating in the annual Scott Spino Memorial golf tournament. Not only did we have a lot of fun, but we met an array of people determined to keep Scott’s memory alive through community involvement.
